All of my skincare.

This will be a picture heavy blog, I will post pics of all my skincare products, everything will be included.

I will however not write much about each product because that will take me time I do not have. I will comment if I've re-purchase the product or planning to re-purchase. Will comment what is high end and what is drug store. Where to buy? Some you will find at Amazon, some at Yesstyle, Style Korean, Lyco, Kicks etc. Google is your friend.

Ask me questions here or on Twitter (Istina93) and I will give you all the info I can give.

Not included: Face masks, clay masks etc as those are so varied and something I buy and use up on a regular basis.

So here we go:

Bee pollen renew ampouler by Missha: This is my third bottle, I can't recommend it enough. It's really thick and sticky but sinks into the skin like butter. I use this everyday, the way it just feel on the skin is amazing. Use it after your toner and it will leave your skin so plump and hydrated, the only downside is that because its such a thick texture it does not last as long as most other products. I say it's worth re-buying this tho. It's my fav in my routine. ca $23. Drug store.

"A concentrated ampoule that uses the power of 42% bee pollen extract to soothe damage skin and increase skin density."

Klairs rich moist soothing cream, This is my first tube and I am in love with it. It's really thick and I use it before bedtime, I wake up with the most smooth plump skin ever. Prob not for ppl with oily skin. I love really thick face creams, as it is my last step in my skin care. You start of light weight watery products and go thicker. Plus its a massive tube so it will last me a good while. High end. '

"Infused with yeast-derived Beta Glucan, this cream fortifies the skin's natural moisture barrier. The Rich Moist Soothing Cream enhances the skin's ability to repair cells by strengthening the protective layer of dry and sensitive skin from the inside out.
This cream makes skin the most comfortable condition by balancing proper oil and water balance. With its spreadable and non-sticky texture, it absorbs effectively on the skin."

Ca $26 or 370 nok.

Skinfood - Egg white pore mask. A classic but it's my first pot. It's a white clay consistency. Leave it on for about10 min and clean it off. Tightens pores. I am having some trouble finding the perfect amount I use, too little and it does nothing and too much and cleaning it off is a hassle. I don't have big pores. I am not in love, but it's OK.

Ca $7

  • A dedicated pore-refining line with egg white that tightens enlarged pores, minimizes their appearance and regulates excessive sebum.
  • Albumen, commonly known as egg whites, is one of nature's highest quality protein sources.
  • It's also packed with niacin (Vitamin B3), riboflavin (Vitamin B2), selenium, magnesium, calcium, phosphorus, potassium, and a complete amino acid profile.
  • Egg white is an excellent cleanser for congested skin as it deeply penetrates pores, removing pore-clogging oil and dead skin cells along with blackheads.
  • Egg white stimulates the growth of collagen cells, improving the skin's elasticity and resilience."

PETITFEE Agave Cooling Hydrogel Eye Mask: I LOVE this stuff! It's small gel like eye patch for under you eye to reduce eye bags, its sooo cooling and soothing and leaves my under eye area smooth and less puffy. I believe this is my second one. If you skin is irritated, or your have a headache, put this on and just lay back and close your eyes. 60 stk (30 par)

"A hydro gel eye mask that contains agave and blueberry extract to hydrate the dry eyes."

Drug store ca $13 or 250 NOK.

NEOGEN Bio-Peel Gauze Peeling Wine: I LOVE these, this is my second pot and I can't recommend this enough, pads soaked in serum with one smooth side to apply the products, and one peeling side to...well..give the skin a good peel. It's smells like red wine, but a sweet red wine I adore the smell. A good product for once a week I'd say. Highly recommend.

"This is the perfect exfoliator whether you prefer chemical or manual exfoliation. With 30 single-use exfoliating pads, this product provides gentle yet effective exfoliation of dead skin cells and impurities, leaving skin smoother and clear. Dead skin cells are sloughed off the surface of the skin using the unique 3 layer pad technology, as lactic acid penetrates deep into your pores to clean out pore-clogging debris!"

Ca $27

Heimish Bulgarian Rose Water Hydrogel Eye Patch: Eye patches soaked in serum to calm and soothe your under eye area. They're ok, nothing really sticks out in my memory. It's suppose to brighten and hydrate and it's fine. It's not my fav thing in the world. Ca $12

  • Brightens dull areas around the eyes, limbs, and cheeks
  • Improves wrinkles and fine lines
  • Made with Bulgarian Rose Water nourishing and hydrating skin
  • 100 Eco-friendly made with soluble hydro gel patches (increases tightness and absorption)
  • Hypoallergenic

A.H.C. The Real Eye Cream For Face: This is an under eye cream and it's kinda a cult product. I'm not huge on eye creams because I never find them to be very soothing, but this one I do really love. I put on a shitload before going to bed, a thick layer and my under eye wrinkles are much smoother because of it. Recommend. Ca $ 13.

COSRX: Retinol 0.2%. I LOVE this!!! I HATE that its more expensive now with shipping and all. I've used this one up, and am stepping it up to 0.5% trying the Ordinary one. I really want to buy this again. If you want to try out retinol read up on it, and start with 0.2 to see how your skin takes it.

Ca $30 or 400 nok.

What is retinol?

"Retinol is a type of retinoid, which is made from vitamin A. It does not remove dead skin cells, as many other products for mature skin do. Instead, the small molecules that make up retinol go deep beneath the epidermis (outer layer of skin) to your dermis."

SO NATURAL RED PEEL TINGLE SERUM: This is a must have in my opinion. It's a peel, you put a small amount on your face, massage it in , let it sit for 60 seconds and wash it off. Not to be used everyday! It will sting once you put it on, this is like a very toned down version of a chemical peel you get in the salon. Just much less potent, but still it get's the job done! This is my second bottle, and I will re-buy this. Have the same type in The Ordinary also that I am waiting to try once this is empty.

Ca  $28

"Beta Hydroxy Acid (BHA) and Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) remove dead skin and blackheads in pore. Kickstart cell renewal and achieve visible radiance. "

Black Sugar Perfect Essential Scrub 2X: This is my second pot, it's a sugar scrub to exfoliate your skin. I love the smell of this, you put it on, massage it round your face, leave it on for bout 10 mins and rinse it off. I swear this leaves your skin so fresh and smooth. Not for everyday use, I'd day once a week.

Ca $13

"An exfoliating mask & scrub containing black sugar, rice wine, and fruit extracts that gently exfoliates skin for a brighter and smoother complexion. Features Black Sugar & Rice Wine to refine skin texture and promote blood circulation, Macadamia & Meadowfoam Seed Oil to nourish and soothe skin, and fruit extracts (Papaya, Orange, Lemon, Apple) to act as natural acids that mildly exfoliate and purify the skin. "

IUNIK Propolis Vitamin Synergy Serum: Gives a really nice glow to your skin. Propolis is a resin-like material made by bees. Honey is all the rave in skin care and I love it so much. Unsure if I will re-buy as I have so many good serums. I like it but it's not a stand out in my collection.

Ca $18 or 180 nok

"With 70% propolis and 12% hippophae rhamnoides rich in Vitamin C, this lightweight serum helps calm and brighten sensitive skin. The soothing effect is enhanced by centalla, purslane, witch hazel and ginkgo extracts."

Pyunkang yul - essence toner. My favorite skin care brand. I'm on my second or this of this toner. It's like water on the skin, sinks in immediately leaving your skin ready for the rest of the products. I can't recommend this enough. You NEED a good toner in your skin care regime, that's rule number one.

Ca $17 or 190 NOK

"CALMING AND MOISTURIZING FACIAL TONER: Along with know-how recipe of Pyunkang Yul Eastern Medicine Clinic, specialized in treating skin and respiratory diseases for about 50 years, the toner provides remarkable Soothing & Moisturizing properties, balances skin PH, hydrates, reduces acne and leaves the skin soothed, incredibly even in tone and soft."

Pyunkang yul -  moisture ampoule: again just perfection. This is a thicker, more sticky product for really good moisture. I use this after my toner and it sinks in and leaves the skin so soft and plump. I'm on my second bottle of this and I will def re-buy til I die. Perfect for sensitive skin.

Ca $28 or 330 NOK

"Consisting of only six premium ingredients, Pyunkang Yul Moisture Ampoule is a high-potency moisture booster that calms, smoothens and destresses skin for a glowing complexion. Coptis Japonica Root Extract, a powerful skin-calming and hydrating ingredient, makes up over 90% of this innovative formula. The honey-like consistency grabs onto the surface of skin then melts in for a smooth, soft and bouncy texture."

Pyunkang yul  - moisture serum: Again pure perfection in a bottle. A milky soft texture thats not sticky at all, sinks into the skin like velvet. "This Moisture Ampoule by Pyunkang Yul is a moisture/hydration booster with only 6 ingredients. Designed to soothe and calm the skin while giving it a plump, bouncy texture" Ca $27 or 330 NOK

Pyunkang Yul - oil. My third bottle I think. This is in my opinion the best oil on the marked. I love this so much. Leaves your skin so hydrated, glossy and plump. Highly recommend. Ca $14 or 280 NOK

"provides antioxidant protection with a powerful blend of plant-based oils, including jojoba seed, sunflower, geranium and rosemary. Skin feels boosted with hydration and restoration, not heavy or greasy at all."

A new product in my collection. It's a serum for tightening your pores basically. Light weight and comfortable but it's not something that sticks out in my memory as amazing. Ca $20

"Watery serum purifies and tightens pores with 93% matcha water; gently dissolves dead skin cells with BHA and PHA; moisturizes with glacial water, hyaluronic acid and glycerin; brightens with centella asiatica and maintains the skin’s water-oil balance with patented ingredient Anti Sebum P"

9 Wishes - 9wishes rose capsule essence.

I got this because a Korean skincare Youtuber recommended it. It's really a lovely hydrating essence, and looks stunning in the bottle with real rose petals in the product. I've almost used up this one, and I don't think I can finish it because I think it's expired. Will look into that, most skin care products last a year or two. A very luxurious product, I'm not opposed to re-buying it.

Ca $25

"maximize the skin’s natural night-time renewal process and uses their special oil encapsulation technology for it. Although it is targeting the night-time renewal of the skin it can be used in the mornings and evenings on your cleansed face before using your moisturizer."

Skinfood royal honey propolis enrich essence: Oh I like this one. Anything with honey is my jam. Pun intended. thicker and more sticky but melts into my skin. Smells divine. I think this is my second bottle.

Ca $40

" 63% propolis, 10% honning og 10% dronninggelé"

Heimish mist serum - A serum in mist form, this is a really fine spray and feels wonderfull. Easy to use, before or after makeup even. Basically a very all around product. Brightening, calming, hydrating.

Ca $24

"Strong moisturization and nourishment supply. Improves wrinkles and brightens dark complexion."

iunik centella calming gel cream - I actually forgot I had this. It was in the back of my closet and I am glad I found it. My skin is dry as a MF and I love products that cool my skin, and give it that plumping effect. It has a gel like texture, thicker but sinks in nicely. Very nice for summer.

Ca $16 or 280 NOK

"ALL DAY LONG HYDRATION: IUNIK centella calming gel cream is formulated with botanical ingredients such as centella asiatica leaf water, tea tree extracts, Niacinamide and adenosine. The moisturizer has zero irritating stuff and alcohol, in the formula. Providing all day and night-long moisturization. The facial lotion helps to hydrate and healthy skin. The hydrating formula will be absorbed deeply through the layer of skin in seconds without clogging pores or heavy feeling."

Banila Co Clean it zero cleansing balm  - Truly a cult product and an amazing makeup remover, it basically melts off your makeup, comes in this lovely balm texture, does not sting your eyes, it's a balm to oil and basically a double cleanse in one product. (Read up on double cleanse I cant be arsed right now) I am sensitive to makeup removers, my skin dry out like crazy but this leaves my skin soft and not dry at all. Will re-buy.

Ca $ 17 or 250 NOK

"

Laneige water sleeping mask - High end. But The best creme on the marked in my humble opinion. A gel like texture, so soft, cooling and calming. I adore this so much. I try to not use it too often because I'm almost out and it is not cheap. But I highly recommend this. If you only want one cream I'd say go for this one.

Ca $30 or 370 NOK

"- Probiotic-derived complex *: A powerful complex with lactobacillus ferment lysate derived from 23.8 billion green tea probiotics and trehalose to help add a hydrated glow, while creating an optimal environment for the skin. Utilizing a patented method**, green tea lactobacillus ferment lysate helps reveal smoother looking skin by reducing the amount of dead skin cells."

Missha Glow Skin Balm: A 4 in one product. moisture, primer, luminizing and morning pack. Leaves your skin glowing to the gods. A soft balm like texture, perfect for primer before makeup. Will make your foundation look bomb. Also one I kinda forgot I had to I'm glad I going to put this in my makeup box now. Not a product you _need_ but if you're like me and you have everything you need, this is a very nice supplement.

Ca $18 or 300 NOK

Koelf Pearl Shea Butter Hydro Gel Eye Patch - It's just another eyepatch. Shea butter works wonders in general, but this one dried out before I could finish it sadly. So poo on you.

Dermatory Azulene Hypoallergenic CICA Rescue Gauze Pad: This is great. It's a pad that soothes and calms skin, its soaked in a rich essence and works perfect before makeup, or in your evening skincare regime. I will re-buy this for sure. the pads are soft on one side and a bit more rough on the other, like the ones I've mentioned earlier in the post. Also a cult product I'd say. For sensitive skin.

Ca $22

" Our pads come completely drenched in rich essence consisting of Guaiazulene, Rose Water, Honey, and Olive Oil. Azulene is our hero ingredient, which is known to help prevent the cellular damage on irritated skin. The roman soldiers used it to treat various skin conditions because of its soothing and anti-inflammatory properties. To enhance the calming effects of the cream, we’ve also infused chamomile and feverfew extracts. "

Glow skin balm to mist - this is the mist version of the Glow balm I mentioned earlier. Can be used before or after makeup for that super dewy glow to the skin. Need to pick this back up now for summer. It's really nice but not something you _need_.

The face shop rice water bright cleansing oil - A very nice cleansing oil for morning and nighttime. Like I mentioned before, double cleanse is a whole thing and you have to read up on that. I use this with the next product I will show you.

Ca $10 or 330 NOK

"Rice Water Bright is a cleansing line enriched with rice water that contains vitamins A, B, and E, minerals, and ceramide to brighten and nourish dry skin."

The face shop rice water bright foaming cleanser - Rice water is the milky-white water enriched with Vitamin B and minerals, obtained after rinsing rice. It is one of the most favorite traditional beauty treatments among the women in royal court of Joseon Dynasty.Good for a makeup remocer or a face cleanser. I prefer my Zero Balm tho.

Ca  $10

"Skin-brightening cleansing foam treats skin to the conditioning effect of rice water as it lifts away surface impurities, excessive oil and makeup for an immaculate and comfortable clean. Natural rice water steeps skin in needed nutrients and minerals, creating a velvety soft feel."

Innisfree - Jeju Volcanic Pore Cleansing Foam EX.

Ca $ 12

"Lather up this refreshing foam cleanser and instantly feel the micro-bubbles whisk away impurities. Our Jeju Volcanic Cluster are particles smaller than pores to help banish sebum for a clearer, less shiny complexion.Start your K-Beauty signature Double Cleansing Method with an oil-based cleanser to help draw out impurities from skin’s surface, followed by a foaming cleanser like this to deeply cleanse, leaving skin super-refreshed."

Ok that was A LOT!

Hopefully you found some of this helpful or interesting. Skincare can be such a meditative thing, something you do for you and you alone. The smells, the textures, and the result makes it my favorite thing I do for my self every day. Got questions, feel free to ask.

Maybelline Superstay Vinyl Ink Liquid Lipstick

As most of you know, I like my matte, liquid lips. I have smaller lips and normal lipstick just don't do it for me. With a liquid lip I get the shape I want and it stays on for much longer.

My favs are the KVD's, NYX Shine Loud, My Jeffree Star Velour liquid and Gerard Cosmetics Hydra matte. I have a few from different brands in various colors but the ones mentioned are the ones I use daily.

When the Maybelline Superstay Vinyl Ink went viral, you know I had to try it out. And I'm glad I did.

The packaging is super kool, feel really high end and the product holds up really well compared to my mentioned favs.

I have 2 shades: Red hot and Witty. I have a thing for red so I will def pick up the other reds in this collection, to get the more blue red and pink reds. Probably get me a nude one too.

These take a little time to dry, a minute or two, but note this: Compared to the Maybelline matte ink, these do not feel sticky. Once they dry down they feel like a normal lipstick, soft and smooth on the lips. And you don't need the gloss as in the NYX Shine loud.

Easy doe foot applicator

Such a pretty color.

And this shit lasts for ever. I ate two meals and when I went to take my makeup off, the red lip was still in almost perfect shape, just missing some product on the inner part of my lips. It's not as swatch proof on the hand as the NYX one, but on the lips is a different story.

Red hot

Witty

As I am in my mid 40's my mouth has changed, my scar down my lip is more visible (I love my scar tho), but products with some slip to them settle more in lines and wrinkles so I need me something that stays on for long periods of time and not worry about looking like a clown.

They cost ca 140 nok and you can get them at any store that sells makeup.

Enjoy!

Viral reversed smokey eye.

Makeup artist Painted by Spencer has done this look for years according to him, but I have only seen it pop up recently on SoMe. I have semi hooded eyelids due to my age so when I saw his tutorial I wanted to test it.

Pose!

Sexy and sultry indeed

It took me maybe 10 minutes, the whole look is super easy and only takes a few steps and not many products. The main point to note is blend, blend, smudge, smudge. And the focus is all at the bottom of your eyes.

The basic look is made using black, but you can use dark brown, dark blue etc.

NB: Put on your foundation after you've done this eye look as you will have to clean up underneath your eyes due to fallout etc. Use a concealer that is a tad bit lighter that what you usually wear to make the look really pop.

As always I do not edit my pictures, this is what I look like the good and the bad :)

You need:

Eye primer

A soft pigmented black eyeliner

A brown matte eyeshadow, warm, neutral or cool depending on your skin tone.

Black matte eyeshadow.

A smudge brush

A blending brush

Mascara.

Blending and smudge brush.

The eyeliner from Sleek is really good and affordable.

I used The warrior II by Juvia's

First step is to prime your eyelids, important don't forger to prime under your eyes as well as that's where the drama is happening.

Any primer will do, I use Paintpot in Painterly by Mac

Use a soft blending brush to apply the matte brown eyeshadow start at the point of your eyebrow, and blend it across and swipe and wing it out. This does not have to look perfect, just make sure the shadow is blended and keep most of the shadow at the start of the eyebrow.

This shape is important to get that sultry, sick look.

Line your waterline (just the bottom waterline) with the eyeliner, and also place the eyeliner at root of your bottom lashes.

Pack on that liner!

Use the smudge brush and start blending and smudging the eyeliner downwards quite far, make sure everything is coated in black. With a soft hand, drag the eyeliner gently out with your finger to create a subtle flick at the end on your eye. This step really is what makes the look.

Smoke it out!

Now pack on black eyeshadow to where you placed the eyeliner to make it even more black and to set it, and then use the blending brush to blend downwards and really smoke that liner and shadow out. The more you do this the better it  looks. I like to also use a very dark brown blended in there to give the eyes some dimension.

And you're done!

A nude lip goes best with a dramatic eye.

Use just a tad of whats left of your smudge brush really close to your top lashline and smudge a little color there as well.

This is my first attempt.

Once you are happy with the smoked out look, add tons of mascara. You can put on a lash if you want, personally I prefer this look without lashes. The look is all about the bottom half of your eye so lashes just takes away from that in my opinion. That's if folks, give it a go and have fun!

Fuck you up the arse KVD Tattoo liner!

                                                            I am pissed.

I want to fight you.

As a goth girl our winged eyeliner is very important. Essential some would say. We spend years perfecting this art form, this magicKal skill, our life depends on a waterproof, ink black liquid liner.

I avoided this one for years, thinking it's to damn expensive, then Kat Von D turned conspiracy nut over vaccines and pulled out from the brand totally.

So I'm thinking, OK that bitch is no longer with the brand, I'm older, I need a solid liner for more hooded lids, it was part of a set half off with a mini lip and a mascara (that also sucks donkey arse but that's a different blog), so I'm like OK I'll try it.

Set half price, sure I'll give it a go.

ITS SHITE!!! Waterproof?! Smudge proof?! What have you ppl been smoking? I spend ages on making perfect wings, halfway to town all that is left is a sad smudged out triangle on it's flipping deathbed!!
That's 10 minutes. 10 fucking minutes and I am looking like I've been on a speed binge for weeks.

This is just so terrible, I can't even.

I didn't bring eyeliner with me because I'm not used to this fucking happening, so I ended up with having to smudge both eyes to try to make me look half decent. (I didn't for your information)

DO not buy this absolute crap. DO NOT spend money on this trash! GAAH!!

Look at the pic below, this is the liner with a drop of water and it rubs totally off with no effort what so ever. What the FUCK!!

Look at this shite??

OK I'm done now.

I'm going back to my trusted Stila Stay all day eyeliner. Fuck off.

That's all.

Stila Stay all day liner. Bomb.
